The Moultrie Y Childcare Center is a state licensed facility through Bright From the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning that offers quality childcare for children 6 weeks to 4 years of age.

The Childcare Center hours are from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. We serve USDA approved meals (including breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack).

Y membership is not required. There are openings or waiting lists for every room.

INFANT ROOM

The infant room is filled with love, nurturing, playing, reading, music and more. Our teachers use a theme based curriculum and is filled with activities that focus on infants development of fine and large motor skills, books and puppets for reading and interacting, games and more. Typically, a child ages 6 weeks – 6 months is cared for in this room.

CRAWLER

The Crawler Room is a transition class for children who are skilled enough to crawl, yet not quite ready to move up to the Toddler Room. The crawler room is spacious enough allow for our crawlers to explore and begin pulling up/walking. These little ones have their own bye-bye buggies for walks around the Y’s campus. Typically, a child is 6 months – 12 months old in this classroom.

TODDLER

The Y has 2 toddler classrooms. On a typical day, these rooms stay at capacity of 16 children. Toddler teachers work hard keeping up with their newly mobile little ones.  The Toddler Room has its own playground and bye-bye buggies. Typically, a child is 12 months – 24 months in these classrooms.

TWO YEAR OLD ROOMS

The Y has 2 two year old classrooms. These classes are full of curious, eager to learn two-year-olds. The children learn their months, colors, numbers, days of the week, and some Spanish as well as many other things. The curriculum teaches the children how to use their words and interact in a positive way with their peers. The 2-year old classes also encourages potty training.

THREE YEAR OLD ROOM

In our three year old classroom, children are taught the months of the year, the seasons, colors, numbers, etc. and how to write their name. Our teachers are getting these 3-year olds ready for Pre-K! The children are also learning how to interact with their peers in a positive way. They focus on community helpers and participate in community service projects.
